Adding
TCP/IP
|

1.Go to Start,
Settings, Control Panels, Network.
|
|
Double-click on
the TCP/IP for your Network Card.
|

|
Enter the following:
IP address: your DSL IP Address.
Subnet Mask: your DSL Netmask.
|
|
|
|
| |
|
Click on the Gateway
tab In the box under New Gateway
fill in your DSL Gateway from your
Account. Then click on the Add button.
(Make sure you only have one)
|
|
|
|
| |
Click on the DNS Configuration
tab. The Hostname may be anything.
The Domain is your domain name
or yourisp.com.
Enter 209.92.216.125
then click Add.
Then enter 209.92.216.124
and click Add
|
|
|
|
| |
|
Click OK to save
the changes. Click OK to close the
Network Control panel. Choose YES
to reboot your computer. Your TCP/IP
protocol is now configured. You
should be able to surf using DSL.

Disabling
Dial-Up
|
|
Internet
Explorer Instructions
|

|
In your Control
Panel open Internet or Internet
Options. Click on the Connections
tab.
|

If you have Internet
Explorer 4.x, the window should
look like this:

|
Select Connect
to the Internet using a local area
network". Click OK.
|

|
If you have Internet
Explorer 5.x, Select Never Dial
a Connection. Your window will look
like this:

|
Click on the LAN
settings button.
|
|
|
|
|
"Automatically
detect settings" should be checked.
Then Click OK until you get back
to your desktop. Your done.

Outlook
Express Instructions

While in Outlook
Express, go to Tools, Accounts,
select Mail, highlight your email
account and select Properties. Click
on the Connection tab. Select "Connect
using my local area network (LAN)".
